Labor Agreement
LOTT uses a collaborative bargaining approach to negotiate its labor agreement with the Union. This agreement addresses wages, hours, and working conditions for represented employees.
Labor-Management Committee
The Collective Bargaining Agreement also establishes LOTT's Labor-Management Committee. The Committee, which meets monthly, is comprised of six representatives each from management and from the Union. Members work to cooperatively address employee and management concerns, establish policies and procedures, and share information and ideas.
Members from this committee were instrumental in developing LOTT's Hiring Practices Guidelines, Career Development Program, Recognition Policy, Shared Leave Program, Mentoring Program, Diversity Program, and planned LOTT's first "Bring our Children to Work Day." Members of the committee also coordinate group volunteer opportunities for staff to utilize their Community Service Day benefit to assist local non-profit groups.
Mary Hersey Award
LOTT's Terri Prather was the recipient of the Mary Hersey Award at the AFSCME Washington State Convention held in Vancouver, Washington in June 2007.
