Regular part-time employees are eligible to participate in LOTT’s benefits program provided their position is budgeted for, and they are assigned to work at least twenty (20) hours per week. Part-time employees are eligible for benefit programs on a pro-rated basis according to the number of hours worked, and budgeted, for their positions. Medical Plans

LOTT purchases its employee medical and dental plans through the Association of Washington Cities (AWC) Benefits Trust. This arrangement allows LOTT to join with other public employers to get the highest quality insurance coverage at the most reasonable price. LOTT pays 100% of the employee medical premium and pays 90% of the premium for qualified dependents. Our employees may select from two excellent medical plans:

Dental Plan

LOTT pays 100% of the dental premium for employees and their qualifying dependents. Dental coverage is through Washington Dental Services and is an incentive-based plan that also includes a $1000 orthodontia benefit. The incentive plan encourages enrollees to obtain regular dental care by providing a higher level of coverage for patients who visit their dentists annually. When first enrolled in the plan, the "incentive level" (or payment level) is 70% for routine care. Each calendar year that the enrollee uses the dental benefits, the incentive level increases by 10%. If the dental plan is unused for a year, the incentive level will decrease by 10% for that enrollee, down to a minimum of 70% coverage.
